Account Information and Domain WHOIS Info

You must provide certain current, complete and accurate information about you with respect to your Account information and with respect to the WHOIS information for your domain name(s). You must maintain and update this information as needed to keep it current, complete and accurate. You must submit the following with respect to you, the administrative, technical, and billing contacts for your domain name registration(s) and other Services: the full name, postal address, e-mail address, voice telephone number, and fax number if available of the Registered Name Holder; name of authorized person for contact purposes in the case of an Registered Name Holder that is an organization, association, or corporation; and the data elements listed in Subsections 3.3.1.2, 3.3.1.7 and 3.3.1.8 of the 2013 ICANN RAA.

The type of information you are required to provide may change and you must provide such information and keep your Account information current. Not providing requested information may prevent you from obtaining all Services and you must update any such information within seven (7) days of change. You may provide information regarding the name-servers assigned to your domain name(s). If you do not provide complete name-server information, we reserve the right to supply this information (and point your domain name to a website of our choosing) until such time as you elect to supply the name-server information. Any newly registered domain names will default to using our name-servers which will load our default parking page, however, you have the ability to provide new name-server information by logging into your account.

General Conditions

HarmonWeb reserves the right to refuse service and/or access to its servers to anyone. The services provided by us must be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data, or material in violation of any Nigerian law is prohibited. The list of banned content includes, but is not limited to:-

  1. Illegal Material – This includes copyrighted works, commercial audio, video, or music files, phishing, and any material in violation of any regulation or material that is perceived to be misleading.

  2. arez – This includes, but is not limited to, pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing, and encrypting of any of the above. Also includes any sites which provide “links to” or how-to” information about such material.

  3. IRC Hosts – Hosting host an IRC server that is part of or connected to another IRC network or server or have a connection to an IRC network. Servers or Virtual hosting accounts, found to be connecting to or part of these networks will be immediately removed from our network without notice. The server would not be reconnected to the network until such time that you agree to completely remove any and all traces of the IRC server, and agree to let us have access to your server to confirm that the content has been completely removed. Any server guilty of a second violation would result in immediate account termination.

We do not allow any kind of mining activity (Data mining, Crypto currency mining) on our servers.


Your HarmonWeb account will be closed if you host too many illegal websites, as stated. A reactivation fee of ₦50,000 will be charged to your account. This reactivation applies if you have a few legitimate websites hosted on the account, and only such websites will be restored if the fee is paid within 7 days. Otherwise, other illegal websites will be permanently closed and blacklisted from our network.


Prohibited Contents also includes, but is not limited to : Any Automated Bots, Warez Sites, Hate Site, Child Pornography, Copyrights music/video/image distribution , Phishing, Illegal Crypto investment / mining, fake banking website.

Unsolicited commercial e-mail/Unsolicited bulk e-mail (SPAM)

Use of our service to transmit any unsolicited commercial or unsolicited bulk e-mail is expressly prohibited. Violation of this SPAM policy will result in severe penalties.

Upon notification of an alleged violation, we will initiate a full-scale investigation during which, we may restrict customer’s access to the network to prevent further violations. If a customer is found to have violated our policy, we may, at our sole discretion, restrict, suspend, or terminate the guilty hosting account. Furthermore, we reserve the right to pursue civil remedies for any costs associated with the investigation of a substantiated policy violation. We will notify law enforcement officials if the violation is believed to be a criminal offense. Anyone using our service to host websites or services that support spammers or cause any of our IP space to be listed in any of the various Spam Databases will have their account(s) immediately suspended and an administrative fee of ₦100,000 will be charged to your account. The account will not be unsuspended until such time that you agree to remove any and all traces of the offending material immediately upon reconnection. First violations of this policy will result in a warning and your account will be reviewed for possible immediate termination. A second violation may result in an immediate termination of your account and the administrative fees will be ₦200,000. Severe violations may result in immediate and permanent removal of the account(s) from our network without notice to the customer.


We have a zero tolerance policy for the use of our service towards posting of messages or commercial advertisements which violate the rules, regulations, or charter of any newsgroups or mailing list. Commercial messages that are appropriate under the rules of a newsgroup or mailing list or that are solicited by the recipients are permitted.


We also prohibit hosting of publicly-accessible “open relay” SMTP or anonymous remailer service for any purpose, cause, or reason what-so-ever.

Hosting Service Agreement
Distribution Of Service

We offer varying plans of Hosting Services:

Web Hosting: This includes Shared and WordPress Hosting; If you purchase Web Hosting, your site is placed within one or more servers and resources are shared between many customers on the same servers; however, your site is given a unique address (DNS).

Virtual Private Server(VPS): If you purchase VPS, you will share a server with other customers, but you will have full control over your server space and the complete configuration of your virtual instance on the server. You will have administrator (root) access and a dedicated IP address.


Limitation Of Service

Migration of Servers: You acknowledge and agree that as a normal course of business, it may be necessary for us to migrate our servers. As a result, even if you have a dedicated IP, you may be assigned a different IP number. We do not warrant that you will be able to consistently maintain your given IP numbers.


Termination of Services: You acknowledge and agree that upon expiration or termination of your Services, you must discontinue use of the Services and relinquish use of the IP addresses and server names assigned to you in connection with Services, including pointing the domain name system (“DNS”) for your domain name(s) away from our servers. Prior to termination of the Services, you are responsible for moving your website or server content off our servers. We will not transfer or FTP your website or server content to another provider. If you fail to move your website or server content off our servers prior to cancellation, then all such content will be deleted and we will not be able to provide a copy of such content.

Storage & Security: You shall be solely responsible for undertaking measures to: (1) prevent any loss or damage to your website or server content; (2) maintain independent archival and backup copies of your website or server content; and (3) ensure the security, confidentiality and integrity of all your website or server content transmitted through or stored on our servers. HarmonWeb's backup service runs once a week and overwrites any of our previous backups. Only two weeks of backups are stored in the remote server. If daily backups are provided in User’s hosting plan, last week’s daily backups will be additionally stored. This service is provided to shared, VPS and reseller accounts as a courtesy and may be modified at any time at HarmonWeb's sole discretion. HarmonWeb is not responsible for files and/or data residing on your account. You agree to take full responsibility for all files and data transferred and to maintain all appropriate backup of files and data stored on HarmonWeb's servers. Any cPanel shared hosting account using more than 10 gigs of disk space will be removed from our off site weekly backup. To ensure continuous backup generation, User must ensure that his disk space consumption does not exceed 10 gigs. Our servers are not an archive, using an account as an online storage space for archiving electronic files is prohibited and will result in termination of hosting services without prior notice. We reserve the right to delete your archives if they affect our overall server performance and HarmonWeb shall have no liability to you or any other person for loss, damage or destruction of any of your content. You shall not use HarmonWeb Services in any way that shall impair the functioning or operation of it or any equipment used to operate it. Included, but not limited to, you shall not use the Services as: (1) a repository or storage for files; and/or (2) a place to store material that can be downloaded through other websites. If we detect an infringement of aforementioned restrictions, you may be issued a email storage violation warning at 5GB, and will be required to reduce the number of used gigabytes in your email. We reserve the right to temporarily suspend disk write functionality, in our sole discretion, when email storage size reaches 5GB. You acknowledge and agree that we have the right to carry out a forensic examination in the event of a compromise to your server or account.

Antivirus and Security Notice: By using our shared hosting services, you agree and acknowledge that our system utilizes Imunify360 antivirus software. Imunify360 is designed to scan, clean, and delete malicious files to ensure the security and integrity of our servers. As part of this service, it may automatically remove any detected malware from your hosted files.
You are responsible for ensuring that no malicious files are uploaded or hosted on your website. Hosting malicious files is strictly prohibited and may result in the interruption or breaking of your website if malware is detected and removed. Repeated offenses may lead to the suspension or termination of your hosting account.
We recommend regularly scanning your files and maintaining good security practices to avoid any disruptions to your service.

FREE Domain: Harmonweb offers free domain registration to host plans based on yearly purchase(The free domain is only for the first year of registration and does not include renewal). The free domain includes .com.ng, .net.ng, .com, .net, .xyz and .org. Note that the extensions gotten for free depends on the package purchased. In order to get free domain, you must order for the domain along with the host and the domain will remain the primary domain of the host account as long as it’s free. You agree that you will not be able to transfer this domain to another registrar as long as it is free and if you must do, you will pay for the domain registration fee before transferring to another registrar will be allowed. If you did not order for the free domain along with the host, you will not be able to request for the free domain service again as it is attached as addon for host only during host registration.

Website/Server Content: You are solely responsible for managing your website or server, including updating, uploading, and maintaining all associated files, pages, data, information, and materials. This includes, but is not limited to, trade or service marks, images, photographs, illustrations, graphics, audio clips, video clips, emails, messages, meta tags, domain names, software, and text that are displayed, linked, or transmitted through your website or server. You acknowledge and agree that our support staff may need to modify, alter, or remove content from your hosted product while providing technical assistance. Your website or server content also includes any domain names you provide or that are registered on your behalf in connection with our services.

Storage and Plan Limits: All Hosting plans, including the ones that contain unlimited services, are subject to the following (but not limited) limitations: Inode count, Database size, CPU power, amount of RAM, Entry Processes, Active Processes. In the event plan limitations are exceeded, you may need to reduce the number of files or database size, your site may slow down or not be served until resources are released or more resources are added, and your site may be temporarily or permanently suspended, in our sole discretion. More resources may be added at any time by upgrading the plan. HarmonWeb reserves the right to change the plan limits at any time and such changes shall be posted online at HarmonWeb web sites. You acknowledge and agree that inbound UDP is not supported in shared hosting environments.

Support Terms and Conditions

Support Availability: Support is available 24/7 via email and ticket. Live chat and WhatsApp support is available during business hours from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday and 12PM - 6PM, Saturday and Sunday.

Response Times: We aim to respond to all support queries within:


- Critical issues: 10 Minutes
- High priority issues: 30 Minutes
- Medium priority issues: 1 Hour
- Low priority issues: 3 Hours

Shared Hosting Support

Scope of Support: Our shared hosting support includes assistance with:

- Server uptime and performance issues
- Basic email configuration and troubleshooting
- Basic DNS setup and issues
- Control panel guidance
- Basic website setup assistance

Exclusions: Shared hosting support does not include:

- In-depth troubleshooting of third-party applications or scripts
- Website design, development, or custom coding
- Advanced database troubleshooting and optimization
- WordPress error troubleshoting

WordPress Hosting Support

Scope of Support: Our WordPress hosting support includes all aspects of shared hosting support plus:

- Installation and configuration of WordPress
- Assistance with WordPress themes and plugins installation
- Troubleshooting WordPress-specific issues
- Guidance on best practices for WordPress performance and security
- Assistance with WordPress backups and restores

Eligibility for WordPress Support: To receive support for WordPress technical issues, customers must be on a WordPress hosting plan. Shared hosting customers can upgrade to a WordPress hosting plan to access these benefits.

Billing Policy

If paying via credit card, debit card, PayPal the account will be setup immediately once the payment is confirmed.
The 14-day money-back guarantee is only applicable for first-time signups. Second time and subsequent sign-ups are not eligible for the same. For instance, if you’ve had an account with us before, canceled and signed up again, you will not be eligible for a refund or if you have opened a second account with us.
There will be no refund for domain registration/transfer/renewal, cPanel, Plesk, Webuzo, Control Panel, Cloud, VPS, Dedicated Server, Paid Support, SSL Certificates, SpamExperts, Windows OS, SQL, and any other paid licenses.
The money back guarantee is provided on Shared hosting, WordPress hosting and Email hosting only.
No refund will be made if your Service(s) are suspended or terminated for cause.
The refund will not cover any kind of taxes, setup fees, refund processing fee, in case the web hosting account was involved in a violation of our terms of service or any kind of illegal or system resources over-usages or after 14 days period or beyond the coverage of our refund policy as noted here.
The free domain is offered with a Value and Unlimited plan of shared hosting. One free .COM / .ORG/.COM.NG / .ORG.NG/ .XYZ …
The free domain is only applicale to yearly hosting plans.

Web Hosting Discounts

HarmonWeb often offers discounts and special offers to customers. These are limited period offers and its valid for the first term only. The discounted price will not be applicable to renewals. After completing the initial term the hosting plans will automatically renew at the regular rate.


Value Added Tax (VAT)

Application of VAT: All prices for our web hosting services/ domain registration and other services listed on our website are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). VAT will be added to your product invoice at the applicable rate based on the laws and regulations of the jurisdiction in which your business operates.


Customer Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are aware of the VAT rate applicable to their purchase. The total amount, including VAT, will be clearly detailed on the invoice provided.


Changes in VAT Rate: Should there be any changes to the applicable VAT rate due to government policy or other regulatory adjustments, HarmonWeb reserves the right to adjust the VAT charged on your invoice accordingly.


Exemptions and Special Cases: If your business qualifies for any VAT exemptions or special considerations, it is your responsibility to provide the necessary documentation to HarmonWeb at the time of purchase.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation request should be sent through client area. by clicking on cancellation under your product service not by ticket or email, After sending the cancellation request, it would take 4 – 5 working days to complete the process. Once it’s approved you may continue using your service till the end of your next billing, after that your service will be terminated, Please remember to make a backup for your files before the terminations day !!, We are not responsible of any loss of data after termination date may have backups of your Data up 48 hours after termination on jetbackupsBut it’s not 100% guarantee

If the web hosting service includes a free domain name, and you cancel the web hosting service, the domain charges (standard rate as per website) would be deducted from the refund amount. If the refund amount is less than the domain name price, you will have to pay the difference or forfeit the domain. The ownership of the domain will remain with HarmonWeb if you fail to pay the difference amount..

Transfer fees would be applicable, if you wish to transfer the free domain name to some other provider. Without transfer fees the domain will not be released. The refund request placed after 14 days will not be processed and you will not be eligible for any refund. When a refund is processed, it will not ‘post’ or be visible in your online banking account, even if the Merchant refunded immediately. It might take it 3-14 days due to different card issuers’ processing efficiency and their work flow. Usually the Merchant’s refund cycle is batched once daily, possibly delayed a day or two, to submit all the refund to the acquirer.

Suspended Service Renewal Ultimatum

Hosting account suspended in regards to overdue invoice must be renewed before 14 days after the suspension. Should Incase the host account is not renewed after 14 days, a redemption fee of 1,000 Naira will be added to the renewal invoice to keep the website backup on our server which will last for another 16 days, if the invoice is not cleared after that, the hosting account + all backups will be automatically terminated and will no longer be able to be renewed. Please note that all the files will be gone in this case and not recoverable. This also applies to service that violates our terms and conditions, you must contact us before 14 days to get your service actived else it will be terminated from our server.

Amendments

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend service at our sole discretion. HarmonWeb reserves the right to modify/change the terms of service at all times. All customers would be bound by the newest terms published on the website.
